Sherpa
Graham did very little grocery shopping while we were away, and today we needed supplies.
I am afraid we will be losing power soon. In an all-electric home, we will be cold, unable to cook and without food that doesn't require preparation. Last time it went out in the winter we were without power for 6 days, without supplies and a brand new preemie baby.
Not fun. I learned my lesson. This time, I will be better prepared.
I pulled out my waterproof, wooly boots and walked to our neighborhood supermarket for supplies.
The snow was lovely and thick. People traded in their cars for boots, snowshoes and cross-country skis. Shoppers were happy and supplies plentiful. It seemed as if everyone in the neighborhood were there.
Graham, home from work today, caught me as I came up the front walk.
