Gifts.

For Christmas last year, Sarah took $20 to the local Dollar Store to buy one small gift for each person on her list.

Before she left (with Keeley, our very favorite Nanny), we talked about how we buy presents for people - considering not just what we think is neat, but what the recipient would enjoy.

She did an amazingly good job.  Keeley recorded Sarah's thoughts on each gift to share with the recipient.

She chose a star-shaped battery-operated tap-light for my 92 year-old grandad, "so he can find his way to the bathroom in the middle of the night".

They had a windstorm last week.  I got a text from my auntie that the power was out and Grandpa was using his little star-shaped lamp to find his way in the dark.  Sarah was ecstatic to hear that her gift was helping him.  She is so proud her gift was just what he needed.
